 I started out on this journey like many others as horse owner looking for answers as to why our horse was lame after a hoof trim.

After carefully studying two different forms of hoof care, traditional farrier methods and barefoot methods, I decided that the barefoot method would be best method to help our horses.

As I continued with my hoof care journey, I became interested in hoof pathologies and how to rehabilitate them. To me this is what sets hoof care professionals apart from one another.

 Many hoof care professionals, whether it be farrier or barefoot trimmer, are content to stay away from complicated cases and will stick to doing basic hoof trimming following a template they have learned.  

As for me, I love rehabilitating hoof pathologies. Nothing gives greater pleasure to help a lames horse return soundness and see the joy it brings to its owner.
